OPINION and EXPERIENCE SHARING
Dear FSD students,
Please spend few minutes reading FSD previous students’ opinions, comments and experience sharing advice. As the saying goes: "If you want to know the road ahead, ask those coming back". Here they are:
Question 1: What is the most positive/ memorable part of the time you spent in FSD ? (to be posted on the website)
FSD meetings and workshops to exchange and share information (experience in taking IELTS)
Learning in group – cooperation
I love the last week of the courses. We had many funny activities
IELTS preparation activities: learning, testing and workshops

It’s the first time we studied speaking in class
For me, everytime we study in FSD is memorable. I’ll never forget the workshop on listening and note-taking by Ms. Dean. It was very helpful
Teaching staff are very friendly, I will never forget them.
Active teaching methods by FSD teachers
The teachers are friendly, open minded enthusiastic. Being able to study various subjects in this department makes us creative
The teachers and FSD staff are really friendly and helpful. We really enjoy our time in FSD
The most positive part of these courses is the enthusiasm of the teacher and an openly democratic atmosphere

When I was in BEL course, I was encouraged much by our form teacher: Ms. Phuong Mai
I remember the lessons of Mr. Bui Le Minh. We studied on the playground of f building. It was very cold on that day and we came home very late
Mrs Tuyet Mai is the most interesting teacher
The content of the course is good and useful
English Speaking time and environment
I have learnt English in a good condition
I enjoy the fact that I am studying in a real English environment with enthusiastic teachers and helpful competitors
We have chance to understand our major study

Get a lot of learning experience from the courses
I love to study new skills like: debate, presentation, writing research and specially searching information by ourselves
It is the freedom and the power to be myself and I understand 1 simple thing: I still don’t know what I don’t know. I learned a lot from teachers
ESP course is great.
I like ESP course the most
When studying in ESP course, I think I have the best emotion
It’s ESP course in general; because we have much time to practise English as well as sharing much experience from our teachers.
The most memorable part of the time I spent in FSD is BEL
BEL course is the most memorable part because it impressed me very much
During BEL time, we had a lot of funs, experienced new knowledge

EAPcourse is the best : During the time I prepare for my research I had a wonderful time I was able to make interviews and questionnaires. It made me more confident for carrying out the research.

It’s the time when I attended some events organised by FSD and together with friends in Mai Linh
I take part in many activities. The student are active and self-motivated.

Question 2: Do you have any experience to share with the new coming FSD students ?
If you want to be a successful student in FSD, do the followings:
- Be active, creative…
- We really need to work hard. Don’t be lazy if not you will face a lot of difficulties with the exam (like me right now)!!!
- You should complete all your homework, must pay attention carefully in class, never play truant.
- Learn more to get more knowledge + active
- Study IELTS more carefully
- Make use of time studying in class
- Attend classes daily, donot play truant, you may suffer at the end.
- Develop your self-study skills (Think about the purpose of each subjects)
- To be more sociable, you will gain more than you expect
- Make full use of your chance practicing speaking and listening in class.
- Collect many new words for yourself
- Determined your purpose of studies to learn hard, should have a good method of studying, be active, taking part in activities of university.
- fSD is an open environment, we have a lot of chance to self-study. All the skills are important, try your best.
- Try to learn hard to practice English because you just have more than one year in FSD.
- Reading newspaper in English as much as possible
- Listen to teachers’ experiences, learn your own way
- Read economics materials
- At the beginning, you may find it difficult to follow the teachers because they spoke in English è Speak as much as possible.
- You need to spend much more time on learning at home.
- More hard-working
- Try to learn and practice
- Don’t leave out regularly any lectures, practice carefully and regularly IELTS skills
- Study hard, practice more and more
- Prepare all 4 skills as soon as possible
- Be Confident and hardworking
- Learn at the beginning; don’t study for mark but for future
- Practise IELTS regularly

- There’s nothing special, you do not need to be afraid of anyone.
- They should focus on studying English as much as possible.

- You should try your best to study, don’t be lazy. IELTS is very difficult.
